Job summary

Kelly+Partners in Sydney is seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Manager to join our 100% advisory Tax & Legal Consulting team. This role focuses on leading complex advisory engagements for private business owners, family groups and high-net-worth individuals, delivering strategic advice across corporate and international tax, structuring and transactions.

You'll work closely with Partners to provide technical leadership, mentor junior members and help drive growth of the team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in tax consulting or tax advisory within professional services.
• Bachelor of Laws with a Master of Taxation or CTA qualification is highly regarded.
• Strong technical tax expertise across corporate tax, international tax, business structuring and related advisory matters.
• Experience advising private businesses, family groups and high-net-worth individuals on complex tax issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax advisory engagements for private businesses, family groups and high-net-worth clients.
• Provide strategic advice across corporate tax, international tax, business structuring and related advisory matters.
• Manage tax due diligence engagements, restructures, acquisitions, disposals and other significant client projects.
• Lead the technical approach to ATO reviews, audits, objections, disputes and private ruling applications.
• Review and finalise technical advice, reports and client deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Build strong client relationships and provide practical, commercially focused solutions to complex issues.
• Mentor, coach and develop junior team members while providing technical guidance and oversight.
• Manage workflow across multiple engagements and identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and support new business growth.

We are seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Manager to join our growing Tax & Legal Consulting team in Sydney.

This is a 100% pure advisory role with no tax compliance, return preparation, or compliance management responsibilities. You will lead complex advisory engagements for private business owners, family groups, and high-net-worth individuals, delivering strategic advice across corporate tax, international tax, structuring, and transactions. Working closely with experienced Partners, you will provide technical leadership, develop junior team members, and help drive the ongoing growth and success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax advisory engagements for private businesses, family groups and high-net-worth clients.
• Provide strategic advice across corporate tax, international tax, business structuring, transactions, GST and other indirect taxes.
• Manage tax due diligence engagements, restructures, acquisitions, disposals and other significant client projects.
• Lead the technical approach to ATO reviews, audits, objections, disputes and private ruling applications.
• Review and finalise technical advice, reports and client deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Build strong client relationships and provide practical, commercially focused solutions to complex issues.
• Mentor, coach and develop junior team members while providing technical guidance and oversight.
• Manage workflow across multiple engagements and identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and support new business growth.

About You

• 6+ years' experience in tax consulting or tax advisory within professional services.
