TAS Workshop Assistant

Permanent Part Time (during school terms only)

Are you practical, organised, and passionate about supporting hands‑on learning? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where your skills help students and teachers thrive? Green Point Christian College is seeking a dedicated TAS Workshop Assistant to support the effective daily operation of our TAS facilities.

Reporting to the Head of TAS and through to the Principal, you will:

  • Ensure TAS rooms are resourced, stocked, clean, and safe for practical classes.
  • Maintain and monitor machinery, tools, and equipment, organising repairs as required.
  • Assist teachers and students during practical lessons and department events.
  • Manage stock levels, first aid kits, and WHS inspection reports.
  • Troubleshoot technology and liaise with property/IT teams where needed.
  • Support the preparation of school TAS events and displays (e.g., TAS Expos, Major Design Projects).

The successful applicant should be a proactive, reliable team player with strong practical and organisational skills and should bring:

  • Experience in working with and maintaining tools, machinery, or workshop facilities.
  • Strong problem‑solving and initiative, particularly with technology and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
