Days Logistics is seeking an experienced Tanker Driver to join our growing transport team based in Sydney, NSW 2000. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic logistics company specialising in road transport. As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting liquid cargo across various routes, maintaining our fleet to the highest standards, and ensuring compliance with all relevant transport and safety regulations. Your expertise and professionalism will be vital to our operations and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Operate tanker vehicles safely and efficiently to transport liquid cargo to designated destinations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the tanker is in safe working condition
• Load and unload cargo whilst adhering to health, safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation including delivery records, fuel consumption and mileage
• Follow all traffic laws, weight restrictions and transport regulations, including those specific to hazardous materials
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle interior and exterior
• Respond promptly to mechanical issues and report any vehicle faults to management
• Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as required

What we're looking for

• HC or Articulate (MC) licence for tanker operations in New South Wales
• Tanker Endorsement (dangerous goods/HAZMAT certification preferred)
• Professional driving record with no major traffic violations
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transport compliance requirements
• Excellent time management and ability to meet strict delivery schedules
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong safety-conscious attitude
• Current medical fitness certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
