No teaching experience? No worries. We value real-world industry experience above all else. We'll provide a fully funded TAE40122 qualification and support you every step of the way while you're employed and earning. Working with apprentices, you'll deliver hands‑on training, share practical industry knowledge and help them graduate confident, capable and job-ready.

Your week

  • 36.25 hrs/week (full-time) including teaching, preparation, marking, student support and/or other required duties.
  • Teaching time is typically 22 hrs/week. Overtime may apply where you are formally required to teach above agreed hours.
  • Preparation and marking are included in your paid hours – not done in your own time.
  • Flexible start and finish times, planned around teaching needs, with flexibility supported where possible to accommodate personal, family and carer responsibilities.

What You’ll Need

  • Relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
  • Current hands‑on industry experience in mechanical trade work, including fitting, machining, equipment maintenance and safe workshop practices.
  • An interest in mentoring apprentices, sharing your knowledge and guiding learners in both workshop and classroom settings.
  • No teaching experience required – only a willingness to work in a structured setting with assessment, documentation and student support.
