Job summary

The Athlete’s Foot Chadstone is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to lead our footwear team. You’ll work with top brands and partner with the Store Manager to drive great customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will mentor team members, manage rosters and ensure exceptional store standards while achieving sales targets and KPIs. A strong leadership mindset and emphasis on training, merchandising, and community engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager or senior casual Sales Assistant, Key Holder, Supervisor or 3IC in a fast-paced retail environment
• Results-driven mindset with a 'Make it Happen' approach
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and sales targets

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service and utilise MyFit 3D technology
• Motivate and inspire the team to exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
• Collaborate with Store Manager to manage rosters and wage spend
• Support daily store operations, store presentation, visual merchandising and stock management
• Champion training, development and succession planning
• Foster community engagement through sporting partnerships and healthcare relationships
• Ensure OH&S compliance in line with national and state regulations

As Assistant Store Manager, You'll

• Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service, utilising our advanced MyFit 3D technology.
• Motivate and inspire your team to consistently exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Monitor team performance and proactively identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to effectively manage rosters and control wage spend within company guidelines.
• Support daily store operations, ensuring high standards in store presentation, visual merchandising, and stock management.
• Champion team training, development, and succession planning to build a strong, skilled workforce.
• Foster community engagement through sporting partnerships and healthcare professional relationships.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements in line with national and state regulations.

Skills And Experience

• Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager or senior casual Sales Assistant, Key Holder, Supervisor or 3IC in a fast-paced retail environment
• A results-driven, ‘Make it Happen’ mindset
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
• Proven success in meeting KPIs and sales targets
• Solid understanding of stock control and visual merchandising best practices
