Amentum is seeking a Systems Specialist Facilities – AFHQ to develop and manage facility artefacts for the AIR 6002 project. The role sits under the VCDF Task Lead and interfaces with the SEG and AWSPO within AFHQ. Location options include Williamtown or Russell Offices in Canberra.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality CDD artefacts, represent the VCDF in forums, monitor SEG progress, and interface with stakeholders across defence and contractors.

Role Title:

Systems Specialist Facilities – AFHQ

Role Description:

This function will work under limited supervision of the VCDF Task Lead as the Capability Development Document (CDD) developer and the interface, liaison and oversight with/of the Security and Estate Group (SEG) activity concerned with the facility aspects of AIR 6002 operating locations. The role is under Air warfare System Project Office (AWSPO) in conjunction with Air Force Head Quarters (AFHQ). The successful candidate can be based out of either RAAF Base Williamtown, near Newcastle or Russell Office, in Canberra.

The Defence project AIR 6002 will deliver a Future Lead-In Fighter System (FLIFS) inclusive of aircraft, simulators, facilities, ground support equipment, training material and contracted services, and this role is a key element in delivering this capability for Defence.

• Develop high quality, reliable CDD and artefacts, including (but not limited to) facilities statements of need in accordance with SEG requirements for project approvals
