Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Systems Specialist Facilities – AFHQ to join the Defence AIR 6002 program. Based at RAAF Base Williamtown or Canberra Russell, you will develop CDD artefacts, liaison with the SEG and support facilities deliverables for the Future Lead-In Fighter system.

Active NV1 clearance is required, and travel may be needed. You will collaborate with stakeholders, draft ASDEFCON DID, monitor progress, and present reports to committees, contributing to secure project approvals and

Role Title:

Systems Specialist Facilities – AFHQ

Role Description:

This function will work under limited supervision of the VCDF Task Lead as the Capability Development Document (CDD) developer and the interface, liaison and oversight with/of the Security and Estate Group (SEG) activity concerned with the facility aspects of AIR 6002 operating locations. The role is under Air warfare System Project Office (AWSPO) in conjunction with Air Force Head Quarters (AFHQ). The successful candidate can be based out of either RAAF Base Williamtown, near Newcastle or Russell Office, in Canberra.

This Defence project AIR 6002 will deliver a Future Lead-In Fighter System (FLIFS) inclusive of aircraft, simulators, facilities, ground support equipment, training material and contracted services, and this role is a key element in delivering this capability for Defence.

E ssential Requirements:

• Develop high quality, reliable CDD and artefacts, including (but not limited to) facilities statements of need in accordance with SEG requirements for project approvals
• Represent VCDF at various forums with a wide range of stakeholders, including operators and delivery agents (eg SEG)
• Draft ASDEFCON Data Item Descriptions (DID)
• Participate in commercial activities
• Monitor and reporting on SEG progress and plans to the project team
• Present verbal and written reports to committees and boards.
• Applying strategic guidance when liaising with SEG
• Working in collaboration with stakeholders to determine facilities requirements from users and the project team
• Completing SEG facilities project artefacts required for project approvals
• Drafting ASDEFCON DID
• Populating facilities elements of the systems engineering database
