Job summary

Sydney Airport is seeking a Systems Adviser to safeguard the Safety Management System and embed practical improvements across operations. You will collaborate with frontline teams to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities and support governance processes.

You will contribute to the development and review of SOPs and safety documentation, conduct audits, and help advance automation and AI-enabled tools for better reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety, risk, compliance, governance or related operations.
• Ability to investigate issues and translate findings to practical improvements.
• Exposure to SMS or regulated environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational teams to advise on safety management requirements and governance.
• Analyze safety data and incident trends to identify risks and improvement areas.
• Develop and review SOPs and safety documentation for practicality.
• Conduct audits, inspections and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Manage safety information systems, including SharePoint and governance registers.
• Support automation and AI-enabled tooling to improve reporting and insights.
