Job summary

IT Alliance in Canberra seeks a Systems Engineer or Administrator focused on Identity, PKI and Cloud Infrastructure. Hybrid work setup in Canberra with NV1 clearance required.

The role covers Windows Server administration, PKI lifecycle management with KeyFactor Command, and Entra Connect/Entra ID configuration, plus Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio for desktop virtualization. You will integrate on‑prem identity with cloud services and automate tasks.

Qualifications

• Identity, PKI, and cloud infrastructure experience required.
• Windows Server administration with AD DS and DC health.
• Experience with certificate management and PKI lifecycle.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of Entra Connect and Entra ID.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio for desktop virtualization.
• Ability to integrate on-prem identity with cloud services and automate tasks with scripting.
• Strong incident management, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Windows Server environments including patching and hardening.
• Manage PKI lifecycle: design, issue, renew, revoke certificates; administer KeyFactor Command.
• Administer Active Directory and Domain Controllers; manage GPOs and health checks.
• Support cloud identity via Entra Connect/Entra ID; integrate with on-prem systems.
• Administer Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio environments; manage user profiles.
• Automate operational tasks with scripting; document runbooks and health checks.
• Participate in incident response, RCA, and postmortems; provide knowledge transfer.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Systems Engineer or Administrator with strong Identity, PKI, and Cloud Infrastructure experience.

• Proven experience with Windows Server administration.
• Strong knowledge of PKI and certificate management - experience with KeyFactor Command preferred.
• Hands‑on Active Directory and Domain Controller experience.
• Experience with Entra Connect and Entra ID - configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Azure AVD and Nerdio - for desktop virtualization.
• Experience integrating on‑prem identity with cloud services.
• Scripting skills - for automation and operational tasks.
• Solid troubleshooting and incident management skills.

Highly desirable

• VMware - administration experience.
