Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia seeks an experienced ICT Manager to lead the BWC ICT Team at RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook, providing technical leadership for pilot training technology supporting the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

You will drive performance, security and resilience, oversee upgrades and integrations, and partner with engineering teams to deliver new capabilities while reporting to program leadership.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience managing complex ICT infrastructure and enterprise systems.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with ITIL and ICT Service Management practices.
  • Experience delivering ICT projects, upgrades, integrations and technology refresh programs.
  • Experience working within Agile, Kanban or similar delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the BWC ICT Team, providing technical leadership and operational direction.
  • Ensure ICT systems meet required standards for performance, availability, security and compliance.
  • Manage ICT upgrades, enhancements, technology refresh activities and system integrations.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to deliver new technology capabilities.
  • Oversee ICT risk management, incident resolution, change management and service delivery processes.
  • Provide regular operational, project and sustainment reporting to program leadership.
  • Manage system patching, updates, capacity planning, performance monitoring and optimisation activities.
  • Lead disaster recovery, business continuity and resilience initiatives.
  • Manage vendors, contracts, licensing compliance and service level performance.
  • Drive automation, process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Act as the trusted ICT advisor to program stakeholders, customers and industry partners.

The Opportunity

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.

Join Lockheed Martin Australia and lead ICT operations supporting the Basic Wings Course (BWC) program at RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook. Working alongside a world-class aviation environment, you will help deliver the technology capabilities that support pilot training for the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

This is more than a traditional IT leadership role — it's an opportunity to lead a skilled ICT team, influence technology outcomes and support mission‑critical aviation training systems.

Key responsibilities
As The ICT Manager, You Will
  • Lead and mentor the BWC ICT Team, providing technical leadership and operational direction.

What You'll Bring
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Significant experience managing complex ICT infrastructure and enterprise systems environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with ITIL and ICT Service Management practices.
  • Experience delivering ICT projects, upgrades, integrations and technology refresh programs.
  • Experience working within Agile, Kanban or similar delivery frameworks.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, resource planning and delivery practices.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks, including:
    • Australian Information Security Manual (ISM)
    • NIST Cybersecurity Framework
    • ISO 27001
    • Defence or Government security frameworks
  • Experience managing vendors, service providers, contracts and service level agreements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
