Amazon Kuiper Infrastructure LLC is seeking engineers to develop infrastructure and embedded software for a constellation of satellites. You will work across requirements, implementation, testing, and operations to support flight computer operations.

Responsibilities include writing real-time embedded software in C/C++, C++, Rust, and other languages, plus collaboration with teams for integration testing, releases, and ongoing operations. Experience with Linux/Unix and CI/CD is required.

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming in modern languages (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with Linux/Unix and CI/CD pipelines.

The Role

In this role, you will participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations. Our team tackles many critical satellite functions: power management, hardware interfaces, command & telemetry, and autonomous control.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure for managing and maintaining flight computer operations for a constellation of satellites
• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, or other languages in a real-time operating system environment
• Write system applications for flight code and flight management
• Work closely with embedded software and service teams to support integration testing, release, and continued operations

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems at scale

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
