Hysata Pty Ltd is seeking a System Architect to take on the technical responsibility of our high-efficiency electrolyser systems, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams. You will lead the technical part of the product development process through design, prototyping and manufacturing phases.

The role requires broad electrochemical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines while solving complex engineering

Responsibilities

• System level technical responsibility: overall technical responsibility of the electrolyser from design to manufacturing handover.
• Collaborate with R&D, Mechanical, Test and Process Engineering for holistic product design.
• Involve Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Service for balanced product design.
• Define and document system requirements aligned with product specs.
• Interface with commercial and Product management to translate customer needs into functionality.
• Support Project Management to plan and execute development tasks and phases.
• Design, plan and implement tests to validate components and subsystems.
• Assist during commissioning of prototype systems to validate functionality.
• Develop documentation for compliance and customer purposes.

Hysata is on a mission to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to green hydrogen with the world’s most efficient electrolyser. Our breakthrough capillary-fed electrolyser achieves an unprecedented 95% system efficiency (41.5 kWh/kg) – a step change from incumbent technologies, which typically sit at ~75% and already ahead of International Renewable Energy Agency’s 2050 target. About the role

We are seeking a System Architect to take on the technical responsibility of our electrolyser systems in close collaboration with colleagues from the various engineering disciplines as well as manufacturing, supply chain, product and commercial teams. The candidate will lead the technical part of our product development process through the different design, prototyping and manufacturing phases. You’ll be joining a team of smart, driven, collaborative and highly dedicated individuals who love solving engineering challenges and who are excited to be fighting the climate crisis. You will be part of the Systems Engineering team and work closely with other technical specialists to ensure that the Hysata deliver the most efficient and competitive electrolyser products.

Role responsibilities

• System level technical responsibility: Assume overall technical responsibility of our unique high efficiency electrolyser from design to manufacturing handover;
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines (such as R&D, Mechanical, Test and Process Engineering) to facilitate a holistic approach to product design in Hysata;
• Ensure relevant stakeholder involvement and involve Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Service team members to ensure a balanced product design;
• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document system requirements, ensuring they align with product specifications;
• Interface with commercial and Product management teams to ensure customer needs translate into product functionality;
• Together with Project Management, ensure timely planning and execution of various tasks and phases of the product development process;
• Test and Validation: Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to design, plan and implement tests to validate components, sub-systems and electrolyser performance;
• Commissioning: Assist during commissioning of various prototype systems to validate functionality and performance; and
• Specify and assist in developing proper documentation for compliance and customer purposes.
