Job summary

Australian Payments Plus (AP+) is seeking a part-time Workplace Safety Manager to lead and evolve workplace health and safety across AP+ in Sydney, two days per week. This on-site role requires collaboration with senior leaders to embed a proactive safety culture and manage risk while aligning with modern organisational standards.

You'll provide strategic guidance, influence decision-making and shape policies, frameworks and initiatives to support people and business goals, promoting wellbeing

Qualifications

• Proven experience in workplace safety in a professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders to deliver safety outcomes.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Experience managing third-party providers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve our WHS framework.
• Provide trusted advice to leaders on WHS governance, compliance and risk.
• Drive risk assessments, audits, emergency preparedness and safety initiatives.
• Proactively identify and manage workplace risks with leaders.
• Oversee contractor and supplier WHS governance.
• Monitor legislative changes and ensure compliant practices.
• Use data and reporting to identify trends and drive improvement.
• Build relationships across the business to influence safety outcomes.
