Job summary

Star Aviation Services in Sydney is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our Ground Handling Operations. This full-time permanent role supports cabin cleaning, linen/stock deliveries and the smooth operation of our GSE fleet, with a strong focus on safety.

The High Lift Truck Driver must hold a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) licence, be willing to work a 7-day rotating roster with early starts (as early as 5am) and late finishes (up to 12am).

Qualifications

• Valid and clean Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence.
• Ability to work 7 day rotating roster with early starts and late finishes.
• Proven truck driving experience, preferably in an airport or similar operational environment.
• Sound knowledge of Sydney airport layout (ideal).
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to strict schedules and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A strong focus on safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks and operate Ground Service Equipment (GSE) as required.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in a safe, clean, and serviceable condition.
• Assist with cabin cleaning and linen/stock deliveries as part of duties.

The High Lift Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of Star's Ground Service Equipment (GSE), as well as a wide variety of duties, including but not limited to driving of trucks, vehicle maintenance and assisting with cabin cleaning and linen/stock deliveries. Must be able to work 7 day rotating roster with shifts starting as early as 5am and going as late as 12am.
