Job summary

Belgravia Leisure Pittsworth Aquatic Centre in Pittsworth is seeking a Swim Teacher to instruct swimming and water safety for children, with morning, evening and weekend shifts. You should be energetic, patient and a strong communicator, able to adapt to varying ages and abilities.

We welcome both qualified teachers and those working toward accreditation and offer an incentive program to gain experience. A National Police Check and Working with Children Check are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with swimming and water-safety focus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to engage children of diverse ages and backgrounds.

This is a great opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy swimming, love working with children, who want to teach the skills of swimming and the value of water safety.

The Role

As a Swim Teacher you will teach effective Swimming and Water Safety to help grow our swim program. You may be required to work mornings, evenings and weekends and must be empathetic to the needs of the classes.

You will have a passion for swimming and making children safer around the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun, with a flair for working with children. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure swim school members, patrons and parents are gaining maximum benefit and enjoyment from the services provided.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

We are willing to work with individuals who are not yet qualified but are interested in becoming swim teachers. We are currently developing an incentive program that will see you gain experience and the accreditation you need to succeed in this role.
