Job summary

Quayclean is seeking a Sustainability Manager for Victoria to lead resource recovery and sustainability initiatives across a diverse portfolio of public facilities and major venues. The role is highly operational, requiring hands-on leadership and flexibility to meet event schedules and client needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in resource recovery and sustainability management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Hands-on and flexible approach to managing day-to-day operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client focus.
• Current VIC Driver's License.
• Current Police Check (issued within the past 12 months).
• Current VIC Working with Children's Check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the delivery of resource recovery and sustainability initiatives across VIC client sites.
• Oversee waste-separation systems implementation and ongoing improvement to reduce contamination.
• Undertake hands-on waste audits, contamination inspections and event observations.
• Collect, validate and analyse waste and sustainability data to identify opportunities.
• Prepare client reports, recommendations, presentations and updates.
• Develop and deliver education and training for cleaners, venue teams and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate cleaners, Waste Warriors and other personnel supporting sustainability activities.
• Stay informed about legislation, technologies and best practice, translating into practical advice.
• Work with clients to understand objectives and present bespoke sustainability solutions.
• Manage competing priorities across sites and follow projects to completion.
• Work across locations and hours, including nights and weekends for events.
