Job summary

Geosurv Locating is seeking a Surveyor to deliver Tier One projects, mentor junior surveyors, and run projects autonomously while receiving mentoring and training to advance professionally.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in Surveying or Engineering with at least three years of similar experience and is proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Leica surveying equipment. A strong client communication mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in surveying or engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar surveying role.
• Experience with major engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and surveying prep/calcs.
• Ability to communicate with clients and understand construction processes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Surveyor you will have the opportunity to deliver key Tier One projects, mentor our more junior surveyors, run projects autonomously as well as receive mentoring and training to continue developing yourself as a professional.

Skills and Required Experience

• Major and minor construction / engineering experience eg. high rise residential, medium rise residential, warehouses, schools and aged care facilities as well as cadastral experience
• 3D Scanning experience would be advantageous
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Leica equipment is preferable
• Ability to complete all survey Prep/Calcs
• Understanding of construction process
• Experience in providing client whether it may be an architect, engineer, project manager etc. on advice in relation to design or build from your findings
• Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Experience in drafting (Auto Cad)
• Have the ability to problem solve and effectively communicate with clients
• A minimum of a Diploma/Degree in Surveying or Engineering

Role Requirements

• Have a minimum of three years’ experience within a similar role

• Experience in Cyclone would be advantageous
• Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
