Job summary

Greencross Port Macquarie is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse with a surgical focus to join our busy hospital on a casual or part-time basis. You’ll work hands-on in theatre, support surgeons, and deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive team.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with at least two years of clinical nursing experience, and excellent communication with clients. Port Macquarie offers a coastal lifestyle and a strong professional network.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing required.
• Minimum 2 years' clinical nursing experience.
• Experience with theatre/surgical procedures and anaesthesia.
• Strong communication and client care skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital.

Responsibilities

• Surgical patient preparation and theatre support.
• Monitoring anaesthesia and patient recovery.
• Assisting veterinarians during procedures and surgeries.
• Inpatient care and monitoring.
