Job summary

Dhelkaya Health is seeking a dedicated Theatre Technician to support the delivery of high-quality surgical services in regional Victoria. The role involves assisting nursing staff, preparing operating rooms, and maintaining a safe, clean operating suite with proper handling of gas cylinders and surgical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff and team leaders with patient care and transfers within the hospital.
• Prepare Operating Rooms for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the Operating Suite, including mopping floors, removing waste, and handling soiled linen.
• Manage oxygen, nitrous oxide, and carbon dioxide cylinders, ensuring timely replenishment.
• Support the setup, maintenance and care of surgical equipment.
• Restock consumables and linen, and coordinate deliveries as required.
• Provide messenger services between the Operating Suite and other hospital areas.
• Participate in scheduled cleaning duties, education sessions, and quality improvement activities.
