Job summary

Eastern Health in Melbourne is seeking a Surgical Booking Clerk to support the Surgical Unit and Liaison Nurse by coordinating patients awaiting planned surgery and scheduling procedures. You will manage referrals to the preparation list, ensure timely booking of surgery, and play a key role in getting patients ready for their operation while working within a diverse, high-quality care team.

• Manage the patients waiting for planned surgery and coordinate with the Surgical Unit.
• Schedule planned surgery and coordinate timely referrals to the preparation list.
• Ensure patients are ready for their surgery and communicate with relevant staff.
• Collaborate with the Liaison Nurse to optimise patient flow.
