Job summary

Calvary Healthcare is seeking a Surgical Registered Nurse for a part-time role (72 hours per fortnight) in a patient-centred acute hospital setting. You will support pre- and post-operative care for adult and paediatric surgical patients, emphasizing safety, infection control, and quality improvement.

The role requires strong clinical knowledge, time management, teamwork, and excellent communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration is essential.
• Competence in wound and pain management, medication administration and IV therapy.
• Strong ability to communicate with paediatric patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Using a patient centred approach to patient assessment.
• Maintaining continuity of care for each patient.
• Evaluating outcomes of care and initiating appropriate follow-up.
