Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a Home Care Worker to provide essential in-home care to elderly clients in Lithgow and surrounding areas. This permanent part-time role offers Monday to Friday shifts and a competitive pay rate of $36.23–$37.68 per hour plus 99c per km and travel time.

You will assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, transport to appointments, and medication administration, supported by flexible hours and a values-driven, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred.
• Empathetic, resourceful, and aligned with Uniting values.
• Driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
• Flexibility to accommodate evolving client needs.

Responsibilities

• Help at home: housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport for wellbeing: escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.

• Flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
