Job summary

Uniting NSW & ACT is seeking a Home Care Worker for permanent part-time shifts (Mon–Sat) in Lake Haven and surrounds. You will support elderly clients at home, promoting independence and wellbeing.

The role involves domestic tasks, client transport, and personal care, with a focus on compassionate service and flexible hours. A local driving license and vehicle are required, with a competitive hourly rate and km/travel time reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred.
• Empathetic and resourceful, aligned with Uniting values.
• Driver license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help at home: housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport for wellbeing: accompany clients to appointments, shops and social activities.
• Personal Care: assist with hygiene, dressing, meals and medications.

Permanent Part-time, Monday to Saturday Location: Lake Haven & surrounds Pay Rate: $36.23 - $37.68 per hour + 99c per km and travel time

About the Role:

Join us as a Uniting Home Care Worker, where you'll play a crucial role in providing essential and practical care for our elderly clients. You'll empower independence and enhance the quality of life for our clients in their own homes in and around Lake Haven, including Bateau Bay, Hamyln Terrace and surrounds.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
• Flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
