Job summary

Calvary is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist clients under CHSP and HCP programmes in their own homes and in the community. You will provide daily living support, domestic assistance, social support, respite and personal care as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable).
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence and insured vehicle.
• Capacity to embrace a meaningful role for the community and yourself.
• Effective verbal and written communication with a customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with smartphones, email and internet.
• Desire to join a mission-based organisation caring for others.

About The Role

As a Support Worker your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients under CHSP and HCP programmes. Providing ongoing support with activities of daily living and support services such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite and Personal Care within clients own homes and out in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide client centred approach care
• Promote clients choice and decision making
• Respond and report client deterioration and client wellbeing
• Enhance clients journey with Calvary Home Care by providing high quality care
• Ability to be flexible and work vary of shifts, days to meet clients care needs.

About You

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable)
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence, insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
• Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
• Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
