Job summary

Calvary in Shepparton is seeking dedicated Support Workers for the Home Care program across Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura and nearby areas. Part-time roles available to assist clients with daily tasks, personal care and mobility, while promoting independence and meaningful activities.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in Aged Care or related field, current First Aid/CPR, a valid driver’s licence, and comfort with GPS-enabled devices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (essential) or willingness to undertake traineeship.
• Current first aid and CPR certificate are essential.
• Valid driver’s licence with comprehensive insurance and reliable vehicle.
• Proficiency with smartphones, email and internet.
• Be willing to travel around Shepparton area (approx 30 mins).
• Strong verbal and written communication with a customer service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Support Worker - Home Care (Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura and surrounding suburbs)

About the role

We are looking for people to join our Shepparton team as Support Workers in the community, part time positions are currently available to work with the community care team.

• As a support worker you will be supporting people with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, assistance in the community and being a companion
• Support clients with personal cares, assistance with mobility and prompting with medication
• Support clients to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.
• Promote customer choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer

We have clients living at home in Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura and surrounding suburbs. Where we can we will roster employees based on geographic location to minimize travel.

What you will bring

Ideally, you will have some experience in the health sector, but if not, we would still love to hear from you if this is a career you want to pursue and you have the right 'can-do' attitude. Full training and orientation will be provided.

• Willingness to travel up to 30 mins (approx) in and around Shepparton area
