Job summary

Calvary Muswellbrook is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Support Worker (Casual) to provide domestic services for our residents. You will perform routine cleaning in a care setting, following schedules and safety requirements while contributing to a culture aligned with Calvary’s values of healing, hospitality, stewardship and respect.

Ideal candidates have cleaning experience in aged care, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to support residents and teams.

Qualifications

• Cleanliness and infection control experience preferred.

About The Role

The position of Support Worker - Cleaning is an essential part of our integrated team united by our common goal to deliver excellent care, every day. As a Cleaning Support Worker, you will have a crucial role in providing domestic services for our residents.

• Cleaning tasks are completed according to routine and project cleaning schedules
• Cleaning tasks are completed according to infection control and occupational health and safety requirements including the safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals
• Work in accordance with the mission and vision of Calvary and actively participate in developing a culture that promotes Calvary’s values of healing, hospitality, stewardship and respect.

About You

• Cleaning experience in residential aged care is desirable
• A passion for working in Aged Care and a sound understanding of the sector
• A strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Experience in cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming and dusting
• Knowledge and experience in safe chemical handling ( Desirable)
• Experience in Aged Care (Desirable)
