Job summary

Stella Maris School, Maroochydore, part of Brisbane Catholic Education, seeks a Support Teacher: Engagement & Wellbeing to foster student engagement and wellbeing across Prep to Year 6. The role reports to the leadership team and collaborates with school staff to implement inclusive practices.

About the opportunity

The role of Support Teacher: Engagement & Wellbeing is to facilitate the engagement and wellbeing of all students. The Support Teacher: Engagement and Wellbeing will focus on increasing student engagement; enhance positive relationships; improve student and staff wellbeing; and decrease unproductive behaviour to support academic growth. This will be achieved by supporting student behaviour with evidence-based practices through a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) focusing on the promotion, teaching and reinforcement of productive student behaviour by implementing thePositive Behaviour for Learning framework (PB4L)along withEffective Classroom Practices and Responses.

The Support Teacher: Engagement & Wellbeing will use the principles of inclusive education to provide flexibility to respond to the diverse needs of students within the school community.The position reports directly to the Leadership Team and works in collaboration with the school support team and classroom teachers

• Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
• Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
• Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students
• A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
• For this position you arerequired to be Catholic
