Working at CQUniversity

Join CQUniversity’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences, where we are committed to providing high-quality, hands-on learning experiences. In this administrative role, you will play a key part in creating immersive training environments that equip students with the skills needed for real-world clinical practice.

In this non-teaching position, you will support the academic team by coordinating clinical simulation activities, ensuring equipment is set up and operating to industry standards. You will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and oversee the logistics of simulation-based training. Your keen attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality learning environments will contribute to the success of our students.

You do not need any clinical experience as you will receive comprehensive and supportive on-the-job training, to help you to thrive in this fast-paced, dynamic environment. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong problem-solving mindset to join our team. Join a university that values technical excellence and hands-on learning, where your expertise will directly support students in developing the skills they need for their future careers.

Please note this is a casual pool. Your expression of interest will remain valid until 31 December 2026. You will only be contacted if appropriate casual work becomes available whilst your application is active.

Position Requirements
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with students and clients.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, and complete work autonomously.
  • Experience or ability to quickly learn preparation of simulated solutions and operation of clinical equipment, following relevant standards and legislation.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and relevant software applications.
Pre-Employment Checks

Appointment to this role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, which may include a National Police Check and/or Working with Children Check (where applicable). The University is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful environment where its members can study, work and live free from gender-based violence. In line with our organisational values and regulatory obligations, applicants may be required to declare any past or current allegations, investigations or findings relating to gender-based violence. The successful candidate may also be required to demonstrate that they meet the “fit and proper person” criteria as required under applicable legislation and regulatory frameworks (including ASQA requirements where relevant).

As a recognised member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, we actively promote awareness and understanding of non-visible disabilities, helping to ensure everyone can bring their whole selves to work and thrive. CQUniversity is also committed to providing an accessible, equitable and inclusive recruitment and selection process. The University will provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment, selection, appointment and onboarding process to ensure people with disability can participate on an equal basis with others.
