Job summary

Carman's Fine Foods is seeking a Supply Planner to be the critical link between co-manufacturers, packaging suppliers and our shelves across Australia. You will balance forecast, capacity and cost to ensure products are never out of stock, reporting to the Head of Supply Chain from the Huntingdale HQ.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're a 100% Australian owned business that manufactures all products locally, and this role sits right at the heart of that promise.

As our Supply Planner, you'll be the critical link between our co-manufacturing partners, packaging suppliers and our shelves, balancing forecast, capacity and cost so Carman's product is never out of stock. You'll report to our Head of Supply Chain and work closely with the whole Operations team, based at our Huntingdale HQ.

What you'll do

Plan finished goods and packaging supply so the right stock is available at the right time and the right price to meet customer orders, raising purchase orders to packaging suppliers and co-manufacturers based on demand, safety stock, contract agreements, lead times and price breaks.

Provide packaging suppliers and co-manufacturers with monthly rolling forecasts, and review their production schedules and stock reports to ensure call-offs and quantities align, flagging any changes to delivery dates or quantities.

Run daily MRP exception reports, actioning stock outs, below-safety-level stock and excess inventory.

Create production work orders and manage artwork change deadlines with Marketing and QA, raising new stock codes and communicating NPD and transition timelines internally and externally.

Work closely with co-manufacturers and packaging suppliers to maximise production planning and capacity (especially during peak periods), building strategic relationships and driving DIFOT performance through monthly reviews and root cause analysis.

Support the Inventory Controller and QA team on cycle counts and the NCR process and maintain supply planning master data and contract pricing in SAP B1.

Flag potential obsolete packaging or SKUs to Marketing and Sales, maintain the end-of-month stock provision report for Finance, and provide reporting for Operational KPIs, tenders and continuous improvement projects.

What you'll bring

3+ years' experience in supply or demand planning, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing - working with co-manufacturers or third-party manufacturing partners is even better

Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP and MRP systems (SAP B1 highly regarded).

Sound understanding of logistics, inventory management and stock management.

An appreciation for food safety and compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong problem solving and analytical skills.

A self-motivated team player, comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively.

High accuracy and attention to detail, with the time management to meet deadlines and adapt priorities as things shift.
