Job summary

The Bays Healthcare Group is seeking aSupply Officer to join the Mornington hospital supplies team. You will be responsible for day-to-day receipt, storage, stock control and distribution of supplies across the hospital.

Join a not-for-profit, community-owned group with a strong Peninsula presence. The role requires accuracy, good communication and a proactive approach to ensuring departments have the supplies they need for patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing or stores operations.
• Ability to use computerised inventory/stock systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular stocktakes and imprest counts.
• Pick, pack and distribute supplies to wards.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
• Raise stock orders and manage transfers in the system.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and imprest logs.
• Deliver supplies to relevant units as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe stores environment and provide service to internal departments.

Job description

The Bays Healthcare Group is seeking an organised and reliable Supply Officer to join our Supply team at The Bays Hospital in Mornington.

Working as part of our Supply team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day receipt, storage, stock control and distribution of supplies across the hospital.

This is an opportunity to play an important operational role in ensuring our clinical and support departments have the supplies they need to deliver quality patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completing stocktakes and ward imprest counts accurately and within required timeframes.
• Picking, packing and distributing supplies to wards and departments.
• Monitoring stock levels and prioritising replenishment requirements.
• Raising stock orders through supplier portals and preparing stock replenishment requisitions.
• Completing computerised stock transfers and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Maintaining ward imprest records using MS Excel and other computerised systems.
• Delivering supplies to The Bays Dialysis Unit in Hastings as required.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised stores environment.
• Providing responsive and professional customer service to internal departments.
• Exercising initiative and sound judgement when prioritising daily stores activities.
• Providing direction and support to other team members as required.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous warehousing, stores or inventory experience.
• Experience using computerised inventory or stock management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to prioritise work and exercise sound judgement.
• A strong customer service focus and a positive, team-oriented approach.
• A current driver's licence.
