Job summary

Sharp and Carter is partnering with a global manufacturer to appoint a Supply Planning Analyst in Melbourne. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will plan demand and supply for a portfolio of products across short to long term, delivering benchmark service with optimal inventory, cost and quality.

This 12-month parental leave role starts in December. You will own forecast accuracy, manage stock levels, coordinate with production sites and suppliers, and support a collaborative S&OP

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in MRP, demand or supply planning.
• Solid inventory management knowledge.
• FMCG or consumer goods experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; SAP and IBP are a bonus.
• Sharp attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Own forecast accuracy, stock levels and customer service levels for your portfolio.
• Review the sales forecast in quantity and value across the short, mid and long term.
• Order from production sites, suppliers and co-packers to meet the sales plan.
• Coordinate import activity and follow up deliveries.
• Identify, communicate and resolve supply issues before they impact customers.
• Ensure promotions, launches and delistings are reflected in the forecast.
• Prepare data for bi-monthly reviews and consensus meetings.
• Manage product phase ins/outs and slow moving stock.
• Maintain planning master data in SAP and IBP.
• Support process improvement and new supply chain initiatives.

The Opportunity

Our client is a global manufacturer with a portfolio of well known consumer brands and a strong, growing business across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will plan demand and supply for a portfolio of products across the short, mid and long term. Your goal is to deliver benchmark service to customers at the right inventory level, cost and quality standard. This is a 12 month role covering parental leave, starting in December.

What you will be doing

• Own forecast accuracy, stock levels and customer service levels for your portfolio
• Review the sales forecast in quantity and value across the short, mid and long term
• Order from production sites, suppliers and co-packers to meet the sales plan
• Coordinate import activity and follow up deliveries

• Make sure promotions, launches and delistings are captured accurately in the forecast
• Prepare data for the bi-monthly reviews and consensus meetings
• Manage product phase ins, phase outs and slow moving stock
• Maintain planning master data in SAP and IBP
• Support process improvement and new supply chain initiatives

What you will bring
