Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Melbourne is seeking a Supply Chain Quality Auditor to grow our auditing career within the Quality team. This permanent role offers hybrid in-office and remote work, with approximately one week per month travel across Australia and occasionally NZ.

You will lead supplier audits, review GFSI certifications, and drive corrective actions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A science degree and lead auditor experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in science or food science & nutrition.
• Lead Auditor experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Proven experience in food safety and quality auditing.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure suppliers meet global expectations and compliance standards.
• Plan and manage audit schedules for suppliers and warehouses based on risk.
• Review supplier approvals including GFSI certification and vendor questionnaires.
• Prepare audit reports and communicate issues to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Manage supplier non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews with procurement.
• Coordinate with supply chain quality teams for consistent supplier management.
• Collaborate with site food safety teams to address supplier issues.
• Assess suppliers against key rules and drive 100% compliance.
• Implement risk and cost reduction programs.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Ensure suppliers meet required global expectations and compliance standards
• Plan and manage audit schedules for suppliers and warehouse facilities based on risk and required timeframes
• Review supplier approval documentation, including GFSI certification and vendor questionnaires
• Complete audit reports and communicate any critical or major issues to suppliers and the wider business as required
• Manage and resolve supplier non-conformances, including complaints, corrective action follow-up, serious incidents, and audit-raised issues
• Take part in quarterly business reviews with procurement and key stakeholders to review supplier quality performance
• Coordinate with wider supply chain quality teams to maintain a consistent and effective supplier approval and management approach
• Partner with site food safety and quality leads/teams and run regular collaboration meetings to address ongoing supplier issues
• Ensure all suppliers are assessed against key supplier rules and drive progress toward 100% compliance with stakeholders
• Implement and track risk reduction and cost reduction programs to ensure they are effective

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, or food science & nutrition
• Lead Auditor experience in food manufacturing (highly regarded)
• Proven experience in a food safety and quality auditing role
• Strong attention to detail, with proven problem-solving and analytical skills
• Confident communicator, able to challenge constructively and manage cross-functional relationships
• Willing and able to travel locally within Australia and NZ, with approximately one week per month required.
• Current driver’s licence & Passport (for overseas travel if required) and full working rights in Australia
• Eligibility to work in Australia – with full working rights
