Anduril Industries is seeking a Supplier Engineering Manager to drive strategic supply network development and cost management for product hardware across lifecycles. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and manufacturing to accelerate development and scale production.

• Background in electronics device design and development.
• Advanced sourcing activities including commodity/sourcing manager experience.
• Supplier development in technology, process, supply chain.
• Early supplier engagement before product/engineering requirement realisation.
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO at component/product level.
• Experience in high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environments.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or related technical degree.
• Must be eligible to obtain an Australian NV1 clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct supplier selection for a product using approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via scoping, trade-offs, and clear statements of work (SOW).
• Model Total Cost of Ownership and drive cost efficiency.
• Lead joint design development with suppliers via clear SOWs and collaboration.
• Simulate mechanical and electronics designs with suppliers to validate concepts.
• Develop and execute a sourcing strategy using market knowledge and commodity pricing.
• Consolidate manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production.
• Own NPI component procurement ensuring on-time availability for production.
• Manage CAPEX verification for supplier-related initiatives during NPI.
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessment and develop part-level analysis plans.
• Ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production need dates.
• Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalisation.
• Lead cost engineering to converge bottom-up costs to product cost, addressing tariffs/cost inflation.

The Supplier Engineering Manager drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware, across their lifecycles, by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally, including stakeholders in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as:
• Concept scoping to quickly solidify requirements
• Feature trade-off / trade tables
• Total Cost of Ownership modeling
• Joint design development, via clear statements of work
• Simulation of mechanical & electronics designs
• Drive commercial
• Development and execution of sourcing strategy via full market knowledge, supplier rationalisation, commodity pricing plan and effective principles to drive efficiency and cost
• Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with our suppliers with high flexibility
• Accountable for all NPI component procurement, on-time and correctly, to scale up manufacturing operations
• Manage the request for and associated verification of supplier related CAPEX throughout NPI
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
• Complete the BOM risk assessment and develop plan per part analysis
• Follow through completion of component qualifications by relevant stakeholders, ahead of production need dates
• Reduce complexity of supply chain through commonality optimization & component/supplier rationalisation
• Lead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle
• Manage ad-hoc cost issues e.g., tariffs / import export cost, and cost inflation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ideally has background within:
• Design & development of electronics devices
• Advanced sourcing activities, including positions working as a commodity/sourcing manager
• Supplier development (technology, process, supply chain, etc.)
• Early supplier engagement, ahead of product/engineering requirement realisation
• Domain expertise must include value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level
• Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or other related technical degree.
• Must be eligible to obtain an Australian NV1 clearance

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
