The HIS Administration Supervisor plays a key leadership role within Health Information Services by overseeing the daily operations, workflows, and performance of administration staff across multiple locations. This position is responsible for developing efficient administrative systems, supporting strategic organisational goals, and fostering a high‑performing, collaborative work environment.
The role provides direct supervision, coaching, and mentoring to administrative staff—including the Administration Coordinator—ensuring that performance standards are met and annual reviews are completed on time. With strong problem‑solving abilities, the supervisor drives continuous improvement by developing, documenting, and implementing enhanced processes, procedures, and resource planning.
The HIS Administration Supervisor also leads recruitment activities for administrative roles, coordinates team communication and workload allocation, and manages essential operational functions such as rostering, stock oversight, and participation in the on‑call management rotation. Additional responsibilities may be delegated by the Manager, Service Delivery, or the Director of Health Information Services.
Overall, this position is integral to maintaining efficient administrative services and supporting the broader objectives of Health Information Services.

The Finance and Resources Division is responsible for financial functions, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring and analysis, together with our procurement, materials management, facilities management, payroll and Public Private Partnership (PPP) functions. The division also includes Health Information Services with key roles in medical record management, clinical documentation, freedom of information, and external data reporting requirements. These are essential non‑clinical services providing high‑quality support, advice, monitoring and compliance functions. The team are focussed on delivering the strategic vision within their responsibilities and on assisting the organisation operationally.
