Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd invites a senior OHS leader to advance safety across our St Ives site. You will influence behaviours, build capability, and foster a culture of safe work practices while aligning with site leaders and cross-functional teams.

You will oversee performance analytics, drive improvements, and mentor leaders to ensure strong safety leadership and engagement. This is a permanent residential & FIFO role with substantial leave and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or related field.
• Manual Driver’s Licence.
• Extensive experience in OHS leadership roles within mining, industrial, or heavy industry environments (preferably underground).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support teams to embed safety values and behaviours across site.
• Coach and mentor leaders to build confidence and capability in safety leadership.
• Monitor, report, and analyse OHS performance to drive engagement and culture.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or related field
• Manual Driver’s Licence
• Extensive experience in OHS leadership roles within mining, industrial, or heavy industry environments preferably with underground mining
• ICAM Lead Investigator and Lead Auditor Qualification (highly desirable)
• Strong people skills, with ability to influence, build relationships, and inspire teams
