Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta invites applications for a 4 week full-time temporary position as a summer pharmacy student in the NHW pharmacy department from 16 November 2026 until 11 December 2026. Interested applicants will be working in a regional hospital pharmacy team comprising pharmacy technicians, clinical ward pharmacists and specialty pharmacists.

The immersive experience will cover operational pharmacy, clinical wards across general medical, general surgical, orthopaedics, ICU,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters of Pharmacy and has completed Year 3 at an Australian institution.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on exposure in operational pharmacy.
• Rotations across clinical wards including medical, surgical, ICU, emergency, maternity and paediatrics.
• Participate in quality use of medicines projects and auditing.
