Job summary

• Demonstrated ability to build positive and productive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organise Education Support staff and resources effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, coaching and support to Education Support staff.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, document and maintain accurate information to support consistent practice.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional learning, reflection and continuous improvement, including supporting the Performance and Development Process.

Responsibilities

• Supporting student wellbeing and engagement through targeted interventions, structured supports and consistent communication.
• Development and implementation of Social Stories to support students with behavioural, social and emotional needs.
• Coordinate and deliver daily student check-ins for identified students to build positive relationships to support student engagement, regulation and readiness to learn.
• Support the coordination of ES staff schedules in collaboration with leadership.
• Develop and distribute agendas for ES team meetings and professional learning sessions.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, reflection and continuous improvement within the ES team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to support ES staff practice.
• Record and share key information relating to student support, strategies and adjustments.
• Develop and manage ES staff schedules, ensuring effective allocation of support across the school.
• Oversee daily organisation of ES staff, including adjustments to cover absences or emerging needs.
• Provide coaching and support to ES staff to strengthen practice in student engagement and behaviour support.
• Lead and support the Performance and Development Process (PDP) for ES staff.
