Job summary

Tumbarumba High School, part of the NSW Department of Education, is seeking a Student Support Officer to contribute to student wellbeing and learning outcomes. You will work within the school wellbeing team and alongside the counselling service to support students and families.

The role requires a relevant diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline, plus WWCC clearance and knowledge of Aboriginal education policies.

Qualifications

• Essential: Diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and targeted wellbeing support and participate in whole school wellbeing initiatives and programs.
• Collaborate with wellbeing team and school counselling service, and create referral pathways to child and family support agencies.
