Townsville Catholic Education seeks a caring School Officer – Assisting Student Learning (Individual Support) for St Joseph's Catholic School - The Strand. This fixed-term, term-time role is 15:45 hours weekly and ends 4 December 2026.

You will provide individualised student support across needs, including toileting, transfers, mobility and complex communication, under a teacher's guidance. Experience with disability support and non-verbal communication is essential, and you will collaborate

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with a disability and using non-verbal communication methods.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team to support wellbeing and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support for students across toileting, transfers, mobility and communication needs.
• Assist students in and out of the classroom to enhance engagement and learning outcomes under teacher guidance.
