Job summary

Macquarie University Health is seeking a cardiology trainee or early-career cardiovascular clinician for a 12-month advanced fellowship in structural heart disease. You will receive multidisciplinary clinical training alongside dedicated time for research, biomedical innovation and academic development at Macquarie University Hospital in Sydney.

Qualifications

FRACP (or equivalent) in Cardiology.
Demonstrated interest in structural heart disease.
Strong clinical skills in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography or commitment to developing imaging skills.

Responsibilities

Participate in inpatient and outpatient care of patients with structural heart disease.
Perform and interpret TTE/TOE, including interventional TOE guidance.
Assist with case planning and intra-procedural support for TAVI and related interventions.
Present at multidisciplinary meetings and educational forums.
Contribute to the innovation program, clinical research, audits and publications.
