Job summary

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane projects team. You will work on significant projects, providing technical support to project teams and contributing to growth during a period of expansion.

Based in our Brisbane Office, the ideal candidate will have a background in mineral processing or heavy industrial structures and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
• 3–8 years experience in design, construction and commissioning of mineral processing plants or heavy industrial structures.
• Experience in mineral processing and materials handling (conveyors, crushers, screens, mills, tanks).
• Proficiency with Space Gass and Strand7.
• Knowledge of current engineering design standards and practice.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Experience in schedule-driven EPC delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-disciplined project team to deliver cost-effective structural engineering designs from concept through tender and construction.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis and design of steel, platework and concrete structures.
• Assist designers in developing project models and drawings.
• Complete detailed engineering documentation and calculations.
• Conduct technical review of vendor documentation.
• Ensure design compliance with statutory regulations and company standards.
• Support site construction activities remotely.
