PwC Australia is seeking a Strategy Consultant at Senior Associate/Manager level to help clients and investors make growth and investment decisions. You’ll lead buy- and sell-side diligence, build robust financial models, and guide junior teams to deliver practical value-creation plans.

You’ll collaborate across deals, corporate finance, and industry specialists to shape strategic options. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential, with a track record in strategy

Qualifications

Experience in commercial due diligence, strategy consulting, value creation or investment banking.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling; proficiency in PowerPoint and data tools (Tableau, Alteryx) is a plus.
Ability to structure ambiguous problems and quantify market and customer insights.
Clear, compelling communication—present confidently to senior stakeholders.
Collaborative and organised, with the ability to manage workstreams in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage buy- and sell-side commercial due diligence and strategy engagements end-to-end, including scoping, workplanning, resourcing, budgeting, and deliverable quality.
Coaching and coordinating Associates and Senior Associates; reviewing outputs and providing feedback.
Design and execute primary and secondary research to triangulate market and competitive insights.
Oversee financial and operational models, challenging assumptions underpinning the investment case.
Summarise findings into investment theses and actionable recommendations.
Produce high-quality deliverables and lead workshops/presentations for management, boards, and investors.
Serve as primary client contact; manage day-to-day relationships, expectations, and engagement economics.
Lead post-deal value creation and 100-day plan workstreams; collaborate across deals and sector teams.
Drive business development; contribute to proposals, pitches, and thought leadership.
