Job summary

Wollondilly Shire Council is seeking an experienced Transport and Traffic Planner to lead strategic transport planning across the Shire. You will develop transport strategies, investigate network challenges, identify infrastructure improvements, and provide specialist advice on large developments and government proposals.

Requirements include a tertiary qualification in transport or related field, 5+ years of experience, and a Class C licence.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in transport, civil engineering, planning or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Class C drivers licence.
• Experience developing and implementing strategic transport plans and infrastructure programs.
• Ability to engage, negotiate and influence stakeholders to achieve coordinated infrastructure outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to strategic transport planning across Wollondilly Shire.
• Develop and implement transport strategies and investigate network challenges.
• Identify and prioritise infrastructure improvements and provide specialist advice on major developments.
• Progress projects from initial investigation through to agreed outcomes.
• Engage and influence stakeholders to achieve coordinated infrastructure outcomes.
