Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Sustainability Lead to establish and elevate the company’s sustainability reporting function. You will be the subject matter expert for reporting, ensuring accuracy, governance and auditable processes across the business.

You will partner with Finance, Sustainability and Risk teams to drive climate disclosures, Scope 1-3 emissions reporting and broader ESG initiatives, while leading a team and delivering assurance-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in sustainability, ESG, climate or non-financial reporting.
• Strong governance, controls and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience building reporting frameworks and assurance-ready documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sustainability reporting, including climate disclosures and emissions reporting.
• Develop and embed reporting policies, frameworks, calendars and internal controls.
• Establish auditable data collection, validation and reconciliation across multiple business systems.
• Lead emissions reporting capability and Scope 3 enhancements.
• Coach and develop Sustainability Analysts and collaborate with Finance and Operations teams.
• Prepare executive reporting and governance papers for senior management.
