Experience in complex projects, strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to obtain required security clearances are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in subcontract, contract or commercial management within a complex project environment.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen with demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Ability to influence and engage effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience building strong supplier relationships and working within cross-functional project teams.
• Previous defence industry experience will be highly regarded.
• CIPS qualifications or working towards certification will be advantageous.
• Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances.
• Eligibility to meet applicable export control and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier evaluations, sourcing activities and commercial recommendations to support project objectives.
• Negotiate and execute supplier agreements, subcontracts and purchase orders in accordance with established governance and delegation frameworks.
• Manage commercial subcontract meetings and facilitate contractual changes while ensuring compliance with schedule, quality, safety, risk and cost requirements.
• Provide commercial guidance within integrated project teams and support operational subcontract management activities.
• Oversee subcontract administration, including progress claims, payment assessments, variations, warranties, notices and contract amendments.
• Monitor subcontractor cost and value forecasts, ensuring accurate reporting and commercial oversight.
• Build, lead and develop team capability to meet business and project requirements.
