Job summary

Downer is seeking a seasoned Project Controller to join our Western Australian operations, supporting a portfolio of major energy projects. You will report to the Project Manager and provide end-to-end controls, cost management, and financial reporting to ensure projects meet commercial objectives and stay financially healthy.

You'll collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance teams to deliver timely insights, forecasts, budgets and invoicing support, contributing to successful

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, with relevant industry experience highly regarded.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project controls, project finance, cost control or commercial administration roles.
• Experience supporting major energy, oil & gas, mining or infrastructure projects.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with Power BI experience essential
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, reporting and stakeholder management capabilities

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, accruals and financial performance analysis.
• Monitor project costs and performance, identifying risks, opportunities and cost variances.
• Manage client invoicing, month-end activities and support cash flow management.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely and actionable project insights.
• Be responsible for project reporting, schedule and progress tracking, risk management, resource planning, and performance analysis to support successful project delivery.
