Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to shape and mature the procurement function across a multi-entity environment in Australia. The role focuses on building structure, improving processes and delivering tangible commercial outcomes.

You will govern end-to-end sourcing, tendering and contract negotiations, review supplier arrangements, and drive value through governance, supplier management and spend visibility across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing or commercial functions.
• Experience in indirect or corporate procurement.
• End-to-end procurement process management.
• Developing or improving procurement frameworks, processes or governance.
• Tendering, negotiation, supplier and contract management.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Ability to work with complex data to identify opportunities.
• Consultative and pragmatic approach to implementing change.
• Resilience in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing procurement policies, processes and governance frameworks.
• Managing end-to-end sourcing, tendering and contract negotiations.
• Reviewing existing supplier and contractual arrangements and identifying opportunities for improved value.
• Identifying and delivering cost-saving and commercial improvement opportunities.
• Improving spend visibility and supplier management across the Group.
• Working across categories including property, facilities, cleaning, gardening, utilities, IT and professional services.
• Developing stronger supplier onboarding, governance and performance management processes.
• Partnering with stakeholders across multiple business units to understand requirements and implement practical procurement solutions.
• Driving continuous improvement across procurement systems and processes.
• Providing leadership and direction to an existing staff member.
• Developing a longer-term procurement strategy and roadmap.
