Job summary

The Department of Education is seeking a Manager, Strategic Policy and Governance, to lead system-wide disability reform strategy and related governance. You will guide policy development, provide senior advice to the Director and Ministers, and oversee research, consultation and the preparation of reports and submissions.

Based in East Perth with flexible work arrangements, you will manage a team and collaborate across the department and with state and national reform agendas.

Qualifications

• Experience leading policy development and strategic programs.
• Ability to translate complex evidence into clear policy options.
• Strong leadership and ability to work across government and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of system-wide strategies addressing disability policy issues.
• Provide high-quality policy advice to leadership and Ministers.
• Develop reports, submissions, business cases and briefings for government decision-making.
• Coordinate cross-departmental work to ensure coherent disability reform initiatives.
• Implement and manage strategic policy direction within a dynamic environment.
