Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel's Contract Logistics team is seeking a Logistics Project Manager who will design, manage and optimize solutions to keep goods moving efficiently. You will lead projects from start-up to completion, develop plans, manage budgets, and coordinate across customers, consultants and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a warehouse environment or as a Project Manager.
• Ability to create and manage work plans and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Proven leadership, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of WMS/TMS and financial reporting systems.
• Six Sigma certification and Lean methods knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn the client’s business and warehouse/distribution operations to support a seamless transition to the K+N warehouse start-up and ongoing operations.
• Maintain and update project plans that support K+N and customer objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Build strong client relationships, manage expectations, and represent K+N in meetings with customers, consultants, vendors, and other external parties.
• Maintain project scope, change control, issues, risks, mitigation plans, and escalation processes to maintain project effectiveness.
• Provide timely status reports and document project results, including scope, timelines, resource usage, deliverables, transition and training costs, and budget performance.
• Be the main point of contact for leadership escalations
