South Australian Country Fire Service is seeking a Senior Manager, Fleet & Equipment to lead strategic direction, governance and lifecycle management of the fleet and equipment portfolio across South Australia.

The role oversees a multi-year program for about 1,300 emergency vehicles and a broad range of equipment, providing authoritative advice to executives on investment priorities, procurement, safety and performance while building strong relationships with agencies, suppliers and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Qualifications or certification in fleet, asset, engineering, project, procurement and contract or business management.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for the planning, procurement and lifecycle management of the SACFS fleet and operational equipment portfolio.
• Lead the development and governance of asset acquisition strategies and budget programs across approximately 900 heavy vehicles and 360 light vehicles and related equipment.
• Provide authoritative advice to the SACFS Executive on portfolio capability, investment priorities, procurement and contract performance, safety and risk.
• Lead planning and governance of complex, multi-year vehicle and equipment acquisition programs to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.
• Ensure fleet policies, standards and assurance processes comply with legislation including Heavy Vehicle National Law and State Procurement Policy.
